I felt your prayers during the day yesterday and again last night as I fell asleep without much tossing and turning.

I actually thought...
'gosh, I'm feeling rather peaceful tonight...
it must be all of those prayers.'

Your wise counsel is very much appreciated. I take the comments very much to heart.
And I hope the encouragement sent to me was a blessing to the other doubting, worried moms out there.

Almighty God, to you all hearts are open,
all desires known,
and from you no secrets are hid:
Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit,
that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy Name;
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

The Book of Common Prayer

Sent from Lynn;

God Moves in a Mysterious Way

God moves in a mysterious way his wonders to perform;
He plants his footsteps in the sea, and rides upon the storm.

Deep in unfathomable mines of never failing skill
He treasures up his bright designs, and works his sovereign will.

Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take; the clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy, and shall break in blessings on your head. [my favorite line!]

Judge not the Lord by feeble sense, but trust him for his grace;
Behind a frowning providence he hides a smiling face.

His purposes will ripen fast, unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste, but sweet will be the flower.

Blind unbelief is sure to err, and scan his work in vain;
God is his own interpreter, and he will make it plain.

William Cowper, 1774
the tune is from the Scottish Psalter, 1615.

Both of us love the following line the most;

Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take; the clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy, and shall break in blessings on your head.

Thank you all for the encouragement.

Love,
Donna
