Oh! that bobble head helmet gets me every time!

We are getting ready for another fun weekend. I'll tell you about it on Monday.
Public schools start after labor day which is very nice.  Next week Katie has high school volleyball try outs.  She has been working hard all summer on her volleyball skills and we hope she makes the team.  Also next week Katie's schedule will be on line.  We are excited to see her classes!!

Happy August weekend to one and all!

XOXO

Aww....sweet little Katie. The bobble head helmet is indeed cute!
Why does time have to go so fast? Sophia starts kindergarten on Tuesday. I'll be honest, I am not dealing very well. I know everything will be ok.....it's gonna be ok.

    Have a great weekend!

      Sarah,
Best of luck to Sophia!! I hope she loves kindergarten. My "baby" goes off to college next week, so I'll borrow your "It's gonna be ok." mantra. :)

Hey, just back from my wanderings ... Wow, I remember both so well - first days at Kindergarten, dropping kiddos off at College -- time does fly. But it's all GOOD. There is much grace for Mamas who are sending off their chicks. Bless you both :-)

  2. Sarah, it is so funny to be in different ends of the same boat. My youngest starts kindergarten on Sept 2 and I am thrilled beyond belief. Been home with my kids - gratefully and joyfully so - for thirteen years. Last time I was home by myself was Fall of 2001. I can't imagine what I'm going to do with myself.. and it's so exciting because he is so very ready. What a privilege! You'll do great, mama!

Steph, the youngest is always chomping at the bit (pardon the expression) to get out the door to school like the sibs. He will do GREAT. And you will run around the house doing a happy dance, I'm thinkin! :-)

  3. Bobble head helmet love. The days are long, but the years are short, aren't they? Enjoy the rest of your summer!

It is about this time of the year that I think of that old song, Summertime when the living is easy. Our youngest played baseball and always rounded the bases with that same look that 2007 Katie has on her face. The intensity of youth always makes me smile. And, the happy 2014 Katie photograph is infectious...makes me want to laugh and giggle. Hope you have a FUN Fun weekend and I will look forward to hearing about it. Even after all these years of retirement, my calendar still runs on the school year, so Happy New School Year to everyone!
    love and prayers, jep

Great bookend softball pictures of sweet Katie! She'll be in my prayers for v-ball tryouts. Since she's been dedicated and worked so hard, I'm sure it will show. It seems like just yesterday that Molly had freshman tryouts! Where oh where does the time go???

  6. Beautiful then and now. Best of luck to Katie and her volleyball dreams.

I think starting school after Labor Day is the Right Way To Do Things. That is the schedule we kept homeschooling, but Brennan's school started August SEVENTH. Short summer much? Next summer will be much more human for the Brennan-meister.

    Happy Saturday,
    Di
