    I would be lost without sunshine, too, Donna. I yearn for it in the months when it rarely appears and delight in every stray ray that breaks through the clouds. Pure gold.

      I was looking for bird poems to send to a shut in friend and came across this poem which is closer to what our autumn here is like with the mostly brown in color leaves:
